Reptiles & Exotics
Did you know that a reptile can contract a disease or parasite just like any other animal? So reptile veterinary services are very important.
Having your pet examined on a routine basis is the best way to potentially detect a disease process before it gets serious. A mild behavior change can be an early indicator that there is something physically wrong with your pet. The sooner you have it checked out by the veterinarian, the better the chance of a successful recovery. Reptiles, by nature, will make every attempt to mask an ailment or disease. It is purely a survival instinct. The sooner you have it checked out, the better the chance for recovery.
Never wait out an illness. It generally does not get better on its own. It usually only gets worse and it is always better to be safe than sorry.
It is critical to the health of your pet that it lives in an environment with the correct temperature, moisture balance, and appropriate lighting. As part of the examination and consultation, we will discuss the current living conditions and make recommendations to help achieve the best quality habitat for your reptile friend.
Many reptiles get sick due to a poor diet. Each species has its own special diet and often does not receive the required amount of nutrients needed to maintain proper health, which could lead to Metabolic Bone Disease. We offer recommendations on diets and have mineral and nutritional supplements for reptiles to help prevent any nutritional-related diseases.
