Dr. Nathan Foley
Dr. Foley grew up in upstate NY and knew from a young age that he wanted to be a veterinarian. He went to the University of Florida, where he got his B.S. and continued on to graduate from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Foley’s special interests in veterinary medicine include dental surgeries, behavior modification, and preventative care. He has a full house of animals, including Milo, his firstborn (a Beagle/Aussie mix), Kida, a brindle rescue he adopted after treating her as a stray at his old job, and now Warby, a truly good boy with all sorts of allergies.
Dr. Kayla Harris
Dr. Harris grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian after caring for her family’s multitude of pets. She received her B.S. in Biology from Case Western Reserve University in 2018. Then, she immediately attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2022. Within veterinary medicine, Dr. Harris is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery and exotic pets. She spends the majority of her free time reading, drawing, or playing board games.
Dr. Lilly Smith
A graduate of North Carolina State University, Dr. Smith began her career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, ensuring the safety of the food supply and the humane treatment of food-producing animals. She also has hands-on experience in both general practice and emergency veterinary care, with a special interest in surgery.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Smith enjoys running, biking, hiking, camping, and exploring Philly’s vibrant food scene. She’s also dedicated to giving back, volunteering with a local organization that provides hot meals to those in need.
Dr. Gwen Lockrey
Dr. Gwenevere Lockrey has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California, completing clinical rotations nationwide in general practice, emergency medicine, specialty medicine, and exotic animal medicine. These diverse experiences taught her that exceptional care relies on strong communication and collaboration with both clients and colleagues.
Now back home in Philadelphia, Dr. Lockrey loves guiding local families through every stage of their pets’ lives. Her professional interests include internal medicine, exotic animal care, and compassionate end of life care.
Outside the hospital, she enjoys exploring Philadelphia’s gluten free food scene, thrifting, attending concerts, and cheering on the Phillies and Eagles. She is also an avid Formula 1 fan and loves spending time outdoors, though her favorite way to unwind is catching a nap at home with her cat, Shadow.
